WELCOME BACK TO TERM THREE

A very warm welcome back to school in Term Three to all of our school community! We hope you and your families had a nice break. It is great to see all these smiling faces from our students as they return. As the term progresses, students will continue to participate in a variety of learning experiences in the classroom and from external sources through incursions, excursions and school camp

GOOD QUALITIES OF WRITING – CURRICLUM DAY WITH NARISSA LEUNG

We were very fortunate to have Narissa Leung come and work with staff on our Curriculum Day last Monday. Narissa is a passionate Literacy consultant, speaker, professional learning facilitator and course designer for all things literacy, leadership and good teaching and learning.

Narissa guided staff through her Good Qualities of Writing Professional Learning and provided us with valuable research-based teaching tools and strategies to enhance students’ writing, which staff are very excited about transferring to the classrooms.

MASKS IN SCHOOLS

As a result of recommendations from the Victorian Department of Health, the Department of Education are asking all students aged eight and over and all staff in all schools across Victoria to wear masks when in class (except where removing a mask is necessary for clear communication) from now to the end of winter.

Students won’t be required or expected to wear masks when outdoors and this expectation won’t stop student participation in the full range of school activities, including music, sport and performances.

Hope you all have a great weekend

Simone, David and Suzanne
